Zonk very cool level you got there. The early bird gets the worm gentle ” winner of the vortex level (shipped :fishing: ). But serious question cause i’m been shooting my S510 for over a year now and loving ever shot i put through her. I leveled and mounted the scope removed the level and never looked back. Why leave it on? I’ve seen a lot of pictures of bull pups with levels permanently mounted why? Never really had an issue shooting straight without a level installed, though it does look cool. Maybe i should look for a red one :angrymob: .

When you shoot gun on hood of truck it’s hard to keep it level. The longer the shot the more it matters

I’ll sell you mine, it really looks cool….. :biggrinn: I agree about leaving level on gun. I can see where it’s a great aid for consistent shooting of groups.

Zonk you are too late. It’s going out today. I have one that goes on to a 11 mm rail too. Forgot who makes it

Here is good review that compares the Hawke, Vortex, and Holland.

Good discussion of cant too. He rates the Vortex first and the Holland second – mainly because of price but he claims the Vortex looks more tactical but then that kind of throws the Burris rings out too (go Weaver Tactical 😉 ). He also mentions that the rail mounted ones can be zeroed even if they are not exactly level.

Here are some tactical looking setups (except for maybe the stocks). 😆 I really like the Weaver Tactical rings even if they are only about $35.

I had a bubble leveler that installed from the bottom and hated it!!! Now I have two Vortex and like them a lot. Although the Hollands does go well with his Burris scope mounds.

Two guys must have rocks. A second said difficult to install too.

The more I study those two pictures the more I like the Vortex. The lines are closer together and the bubble smaller making them more visible. On the Holland the lines are nearly to the edges of the visible part of the level and the air bubble is much larger. I also wonder what that large bubble may do with a lot of recoil. Sometimes the air bubbles break up for a while.

I think I am up to 8 of the 30mm Vortex. Work great. They function equally but you get a little fancier machining for twice the price. It depends if that is worth it to you. If you read the reviews the Holland has the screws from the bottom and is slightly more difficult to install but that is minor.

The guy who did the review must have rocks for brains. You mount the level once (like once) and Holland chose to have the screw on the bottom so you don’t see the screw from here on to eternity. Very clever and great idea. The guy definitely missed the point. It absolutely is the best level I’ve seen in a long time
