Q:

.25 cricket barrel

Will not separate from receiver; is there anything else holding the barrel on besides the barrel retaining monoblock bolts?
I had the air tube out to adjust the regulator with no problem but the barrel will not budge.

I followed your advice Ernest, had to tap out the barrel, removed the barrel OD o-rings, barrel did not seat into receiver, had to sand the barrel end.
Not a big deal, but was not sure how to get barrel out.

Thank you Ernest.

With this issue you will likely have poi shifting /damage oring, you want the barrel free floating front and rear of barrel clamp. the action should have just enough contact to seal without forcing the barrel to miss aligned or jam it in place. .

What I have done is remove barrel OD oring slide barrel in the action if there is metal contact you need to slightly bore and polish the action till barrel no longer touch metal. also check air tube alignment with the action, you need to slowly tighten the angle set screw 1st, slowly rotate barrel left to right till barrel no longer rotate then tighten—this set screw will force the action and air tube together metal to metal contact then then tighten the 2nd set screw, if you do it the other way around, if not paying attention the air port will miss aligned, 2nd set screw will indent and damage the oring groove and miss aligned the barrel and action alignment.

Note: you must have the barrel alignment screw in place on the barrel when aligning the action and air tube. prior to tightening the barrel/AT screws unseat the barrel alignment screw 1st if not you will not get it out, the barrel clamp screw will jam it in place and you will not have a proper torque on the barrel and will miss aligned the barrel down.

Thank you Ernest for your help.

had experience one or two like that, tape the action left and right away from the barrel with a wood with a light hammer. tighten the barrel clamp to get more leverage while your tapping the action out.
