Hi from the new guy
Hi guys, I’ve lurked a bit and joined today.
I have a new-style-second hand .25 Condor SS on the way so I figured I better join. It will arrive w/ a good Leapers scope (that the guy I bought it from does no like so I hope it’s ok) and a .177 barrel.
Some of the things I’ve read have me worried that the gun will be too powerful for the .177 barrel. Any insight on that, and how I should cope will be appreciated.
I tried to buy a TT top hat, but got a message at checkout that shipping is not available to USA??? I left a VM so I expect that will get taken care of.

Well, I took the Condor out for her first flight today.
So happy. The “crown” damage on the 177 barrel is really on the breech end (I’m not the brightest crayon in the shed) no worries there. The wokbutt is a very nice upgrade, and arrived way quicker than I expected. Walkon did not have any and made one, but it arrived the day before the Condor :suprisedn: . It’s nice quality. I’ve always admire folks with the skills to make things.
I only shot out to 25 yards, and it grouped quite well, and without doing a darn thing to it. Nowhere to go but up :).
Based on the sellers description and picts, I was expecting I’d find the scope to be too high for my taste. I wish that was my error in judgement rather than the nick, because I do feel like I need lower rings. No biggie, but my LGS did not have anything. If anyone has tips on good, not too spendy 30 mm rings that will fit the Condor with out an adaptor (I wish to get the scope as close to the barrel as possible) I’d love to hear em.
