Shot the .25 Cricket a bit at 100 yards
First this morning I went out when the wind still appeared calm and set out a target at 100 yards, the first 3 shots were literally through the same damn little 3/8″ hole , but right after that a constantly changing little 2-3 mph wind took up and was blowing all subsequent shots off by 1-2 inches 👿 so I called it a morning and headed in.
Throughout the day the wind was gusting on and off and I used the less-than-perfect weather to deep clean the barrel using JB bore paste and goo gone, and later to adjust my speed to ~930 fps with kings.
Finally a couple minutes after the sun had set the wind died down to nothing and I rushed to get set up and sight in at 50 yards. After that I grabbed a pizza box and set it up at 100 yards with a flashlight on it. I then shot two, back to back, 5 shot groups:
The first group was the better out of the two measuring 1.38″ ctc:
I am fairly positive that I jerked that flyer on the second group but it is what it is, this one measured 1.84″ ctc:

I am sure that i can improve upon those groups quite a bit but for the second time shooting for groups at 100 yards I am quite impressed and will go to bed with a smile on my face 😉
Oh and here is what mine will do when the wind is either steady or nonexistent at closer range, 5 shots at 50 yards:

Cheers

Hi 3^2,
I am getting 3/8 on 50 yrd and 5/8” on 75 yrd CTC.
I never shot at 100 yet so cant give you feedback on that but your 50 is very good.
