Low power Cricket, reduce regulated air volume?

I recently got myself a Cricket WB .177 that I’m now in the process of tuning for consistency and accuracy at 10 Joules (~7 fpe) which is the non-FAC limit in Sweden where I live.
One of the mods I’ve made is a plastic spacer that fits inside the chamber that contains the regulated air, that is between the regulator and the valve. The purpose of this spacer is to reduce the volume of the regulated air. I used to work with a Hatsan AT44 that I fitted an Altaros regulator to and one of the tips that I got from the manufacturer was that on low power you gain consistency if you reduce the regulated air volume. The idea is that if you use very little air per shot, then the regulator won’t notice that it needs to refill/repressurize after every shot. The reducer makes the regulated air volume relatively larger per shot.
Now, on the eng.kalibrgun.ru forum, I’ve seen contradictory opinions. That a larger reservoir of regulated air actually is beneficial for consistency. I think it was nutshot (a seemingly respected an knowledgeable tuner/member) who expressed this opinion.
What is your take on this?
For a low power air rifle as mine, what is best for consistency?
Large or small regulated air volume?

Your Bug is brand new and needs its time to properly break in. The reg etc needs a good amount of shots thru it to get settled. Once again , PM Ernest …
