Q:

Rubberized coating on grip and forearm

Anyone else’s peeling? Just received my refurb talon ss .25 from pa and the flaw was easy to spot. The forearm rubberized coating had been rubbed off by the box in shipping. I thought about calling airforce but it’s such a thin coating it looks like the replacement would wear out quickly also.

Already called airforce and they told me they would give me the lifetime warranty even though it’s refurb and their policy says otherwise. Will mod the heck out of it and lose my warranty, but only after I learn it.

Mine started to peel off after a few months also. I tried the Plasti-dip spray and that peeled also. I painted my grips with Rustoleum “textured” spray in black and added strips of “anti-skid” tape to give it some more grip. Looks and feels great now and no more peeling

My new Condor .25 started peeling after a week or 2 too. No biggie though, planning for a Mad Dog. 😎

I received my rifle with the rubberized coating already beginning to peel and flake off. It’s no big deal to me since I plan on getting the venom grips but I thought it looked strange when I first saw it after unpacking for the first time.

Have had mine about 3 or 4 months and it has peeled in several places.

That’s exactly what I was thinking, unless I just had an abnormally bad one.

get a can of plasti dip spray,

4 or 5 light coats should do it,and it will be much more durable than the stock coating 🙂
