Q:

Airforce takes 2nd place at Cape Town 100m Challenge

Hi guys,

This past weekend, we had our annual 100m competition. Conditions were good but not perfect, myself with a Condor .22 took second place against some ‘state of the art’ rifles and as usual performed flawlessly.
My group was 1,5″ with the winning group shot buy a Daystate MCT was 1/8″ smaller.
I managed to beat 2 Daystates amongst other rifles.

The pic is of myself during practice before the comp.
These Airforce rifles are just mind blowing.

For some reason I can’t post more pics.

Thank you very much Knifemaker, I would give anything to own a .257. After seeing what yourself, Roachcreek and Cedric have achieved with them….-it has to be every long range airgunners dream rifle.
I haven’t sent it to Airforce Airguns yet, will do that asap.
Unfortunately, the target was eaten by the organisers puppy Dingo.

That’s the culprit at my elbow, love him to bits.

A “Big Congrats Nick!” Man, I do wish you could have a .257. You would have set them on fire over there. Under an inch no doubt. I love where things are going in the AirGun World!

Keep up the Good Work, and Thank you for posting this here.

Have you sent this info to AirForce AirGuns yet?

KnifeMaker

Thanx Rc.

Great shooting Nick.

Spinj- no my rifle isn’t regulated.

Nick, is your Condor rigged with a regulator?

Doug, that would be the ultimate setup. I would give just about anything to have a TD257. If it wasn’t for licencing issues here, I would have one.

You would really make them sick if to you could go with a .257 setup and shoot slugs..no comparison to pellets.

Thanx Zilog, the rifle isn’t standard. A lot of work has gone into it, I’ve also fitted a Fx smooth twist barrel. Shot to shot consistency is around 5fps or less. Everything from the valve to springs has been stripped, polished and lubed where necessary and valve fine tuned. I’ve set it up spesifically for long range shooting with the purpose of giving the very expensive rifles a very hard time. 😆 Some of the guys here in South Africa believe you can only shoot accurately with the likes of Theoben, Daystate, Steyr, etc. My rifle has enforced quite abit of respect for the Airforce brand.

That’s great going congratulations. Is it just a standard gun or have you fettled it a bit?
