Q:

Converting quick disc tank to spin loc

Found a condor quick detach tank for reasonable, would like to add manometer and fill valve since I have a spin loc. I saw the pandemic video converting from spin loc to quick detach. What I’m wondering is if the quick detach tank already has the ports drilled and tapped and plugged?

Also is there any way to tell the difference between the new style valve and the old style? I’ve read the old style sometimes has consistency and power issues and want to stay away from it.

It’s the valve body collar that you drill. Not the tank. And the Talon and condor tanks are the same. The valves are the difference.

Never-Ever drill holes in a high pressure vessel. (Tank)!!! 😯

Thanks! Good deal on 2 quick detach tanks on ebay but seller was unable to tell me if it was a condor tank or talon tank. And also wouldn’t take pics of top hat for me to determine. I just ordered the parts from airforce and will convert my talon tank to condor specs.

the quick detach tank would have to be drilled and taped to add the gauge and fill nipple
