My Ruger Black Hawk 44 mag does about 1.5″ groups at 75 yards with a Nikon scope on it from a rest. 240 gr JHP at 1250 fps should be able to handle a 3 lb sod poodle. 😯 It’s setup for deer hunting.

I might bring the Buckmark and BlackHawk. Both have sights.
Coda, in areas like that we always use handguns, .357 mag 158 gr JHP. Good to 100 yards…

I am thinking about bringing my 17 HMR as well. The area we are going is basically not hunted so you can get pretty close to the doggies. I have a Savage heavy barrel in stainless w/ Accutrigger and it is really an accurate gun. :5:
My main dog smacker is my Remington 40X in .22-250 with a 15X Unertl. Then my custom 10-.22 made by AMT in Ca. who is now out of business. And then my CZ .17 HMR followed be a assortment of handguns…… :4:

I have ammo envy. :geekn: Actually, I don’t think I will shoot this in three days but I will sure try. The three of us have about 11-12,000 rounds in total. 😀
