Q:

Help building a Talon

Hi guys, I used to follow the forum here but unfortunately I stopped a while back cause I was too busy to actually do any shooting. But then again my main interest is not shooting even though I’m a pretty good shot, I am more into modding.
A while back I wanted to build my own PCP, and already put a design together and made a few parts I learned a lot since then, and now I want to build my own talon airgun. :biggrinn:

I believe the frame is wire cut, I have a local machine shop that does wire cutting and CNC work. I am going to be making the frame, the hammer and the trigger group, and buy the tank, regulator valve assembly and the barrel.

The reason I am doing this is because I believe that a direct flow valve and the Talon/Condor design has some very good potentials. A Condor replica (the British one Storm) coasts around 4000 USD where I live and importing one is going to coast the same because of some ridiculous customs regulations.

I need to know the measurements on a talon frame and trigger group, IIRC there were some schematics on the trigger group but I believe that it was a test sear and trigger blade.
I think that the new talon has a modified trigger design (it should because the trigger I pulled on the storm is the worst trigger I have seen).

I need your advise as well what should I have build in or a very common modification that I should have from the beginning. I know the gun is very loud and there are no restrictions on moderators where I live, so I’m thinking of having a long frame to accommodate some K-baffles.

When you make it keep more metal on the breech part, a factory frame is very weak at that point.
Try to keep a part of the tube, at that point’ it make the frame A LOT !!! Stronger.

Just crab it from the web, don’t know of it’s 100% okay.
