Q:

Want to buy

I am wanting to buy a Lelya, and see here that Tony orders them. How do I get a hold of Tony to get on the list for a Lelya? One other question, is the Lelya regulated, if not is there an option for a regulator? Thanks in advance for any help.

Well I have a couple Airforce guns to keep me occupied until a Lelya comes available. From what I hear the Crickets are nice and quality guns also, but I agree with there just being something about hand assembled made. I have not heard of anyone that had an Edgun that didn’t like it or had problems with it. I hope one day to be among those who are enjoying an Edgun.

Really? No one is going to comment on this statement? I guess its cause the edgun and cricket subjects have been separated. I spent about an hour last night typing a reply to this but my battery died and it was lost. Of course I’m typi g on an iPad so it was only about 15 words total so no big loss.

I’m not trying to be an edgun bashes here but that stamens has no basics in reality. If you haven’t heard of anyone having issues with an edgun, you haven’t be reading much. There are a few well established members on this forum that have publicly stated that they have sold off there edguns and will not be buying another. I may be confused here but I think old goat himself has made a few comments about having to take parts to a machinist to be true-ed up.

As far as hand assembled goes, there isn’t really any other way to do it. Do you think there are million dollar robots putting together all the little tiny pieces inside the cricket? I work for a large jap auto manufacture and we still do most things by hand. There are robots to help lift things and a lot of stuff is made with automation but just about everything iis assembled by human hand. Robots just aren’t practical when it comes to putting things together. If they were, me and my 4000 coworkers would be out of a job tomorrow. I’m sure the cricket factory has been set up much the same way. An automated process will create a part, then a human will take it and fit it to the assembly. The automated part is most likely CNC and other metal forming equipment. Look at the edgun website. Its written all over the place that he is using CNC for most parts now. He brags about it. As well he should, CNC can make great parts.

I am enjoying my edgun and I hope you end up enjoying your but please don’t make it sound like edgun has the market cornered here on quality. I have heard far more people that are pissed off with edgun things than crickets. One thing you just can’t overlook is that the cricket has an awesome dealer. Absolutely everyone I know of that bought from Steve at Wild West has ended up happy.

Another option for you is to go for porn shop. There are many porn shops who have good varieties of guns and you can also get some early period guns. And the price is also reasonable.

Sometimes things just fall into place, what a great idea!! Contact Sir Ville as soon as possible, he owns the largest string of porn shops in the EU.
Just ask for Lelya and you will have what you want in no time.

Well HOOT, I haven’t heard about Ed lowering prices on his guns. Ed has stated that, if he couldn’t make a profit off of his guns, he would just stop making them. I would be very surprised to see a large drop in prices and I don’t expect to see any price reduction at all.

The Crickets were hand assembled at first and they went for about the same price as an EDgun. They then went into mass production at the CZ plant and the price dropped.

There is something to be said for a hand assembled Edgun.

The Crickets currently sell for a lot less than an Edgun. There is a price war currently going on with them. I really think that AOA is trying to force the other Cricket importers out of the market and, then having done that, I think that AOA will raise the price up substantially.

Redtick: I like your mindset! Mamcrackin and I pestered Ed and Tony for a 25 cal and I know that I drove Ed and Tony crazy for a 30 cal. It took me around a year to get each of them!

GOOD things come to those that wait!

Thank you much for the information. I was expecting a long wait, and I am ok with that. I emailed Ed and he said the Lelya will go into production sometime this winter, so I am hopping to get on the list, now that I have the contact name of who to order from I will see about getting on the list. Thank you again.

All of Ed’s pcp guns are regulated.

A Lelya, if one is ever to be had, must be ordered from Tony Rudenko, “Toshik” on this forum.

Price is a great unknown. There have been unsubstantiated rumors that Edgun prices have fallen. Whether this is fact or fiction remains to be seen.

At any rate, don’t expect a Lelya to show up on your doorstep anytime soon after you place your order. There are stories of members waiting for over a year. The problem being the necessity to fill the major orders coming in for the Matador’s in the newer configuration and calibers. The Lelya is likely to be down around it’s parent, the Edgun pistol “Veles”, in order numbers, and that means last place on the production line.

They are hard to find, new or used, so be prepared for a lengthy wait.
