Q:

Proper use of JB Bore Paste and JB Bore Bright

Would someone please post the proper way to use these products. I know the JB Bore Paste is fairly abrasive, and I’ve always been told that the rifling in a airgun barrel are very shallow. So, I certainly don’t want to ruin my barrel with the wrong process. A step by step guide for both products would be great.
Thanks, Terry

Autosol should be used with caution and i only do it once when the barrel is new. Just a couple of strokes with it followed with Ballistol soaked Patches to get the rest of it out. Then it´s JB time …

I’ve seen guys use autosol. They will eventually pipe in I guess

will some other metal polish works? like autosol or brasso etc

Sure.

My cricket .22 was spiraling pellets and shooting 1 inch groups at 50 yds. Dry patches weren’t improving things. So I removed the barrel and the o ring in the breech end. Then I pushed a few patches of kroil through until they came out clean. Then I made 50 passes with t he bronze brush with the job bore paste. Then a ran kroil soacked patches through again to clean out the paste. Then I ran a bore mop through soaked in kroil… About 10 times. Then I ran dry patches through until the kroil was removed. Now the gun shots 1/4″ groups at 50 yards and 2″ at 100 yds.

I use this method all the time in my dozen airguns and it’s always worked great.
