Scope Cam 75 yard shot with 22 Cricket
Had some time today and mounted camera on new SWFA SS scope and it did take a while for some pest to show. Sorry guys i didn’t take more time to focus camera. looks like it take more practice than i thought. I would have taken more but nothing else showed up. I gave up after an hour.
Had scope adjusted to 25 mils up with turrets for the 75 yard shot

Oh and I got my skeleton stock. Very light. If you want weight reduction it’s the way to go. I have not tried it yet in range (where heavy is good) or in hunting trip (where light is good). One disadvantage of wood is that it’s easy to scratch so I have to be more careful while hunting (either that or just let it scratch and relax).

I am certainly looking for weight reduction and could not care less for illuminated mil dots.
I will consider it, after recovering from the atlas bipod purchase 🙂

I got it because a bunch of reasons. Reason #1-2 weight reduction with as good or better optics that hawke. That has been accomplished #3 mil to mil turrets. #4 checking to see what ffp has to offer. I do really like them. #5 it does focus down to 6 meters.
It is better in all aspects than SW Hawke except it’s not illuminated. It can be a problem when zoomed at lower power in a dim forest. I just keep zoom up to overcome that. I’m really happy with it. I can see pellet marks better on targets at 80 yards than I could with Hawke at 20 power

Did u get the swfa mainly for the fixed mildot ratio, or does it offer better optics than the hawke?
How close can it focus ?

This is my older setup. Its the Hawke SW 6.5-20 x42. I have since put a swfa ffp scope on cricket. Mounts work with the swfa too. I only tilt screen as situation begs. I would find a side tilt more useful. I’m sending scope back to hawke for a checkup as its not as clear as my other one I have. When I get it back I will out it up for sale

Sweet setup! I’ve seen it on other forums. Do you shoot with the LCD tilted while on a bench? Which Hawke scope is pictured here?
There is nothing besides a slew behind that tree and that is half mile away. And doesn’t line up very good. Corn and soybeans will be catching the spent pellets

BTW, what clearance do you have at the direction beyond the tree?

Casio zr1200 is the camera that was used. I have to work in getting it set up properly.

I think its pretty much known in the community that this is the tree of death. Looks like they really took it serious today. After this one went down nothing showed up after that.

I have a wood skeleton for my cricket too but it would get so banged up you would not recognize it after a year. So I had to reduce weight somewhere else. Glad I went that route. I agree the illuminated reticles just add to more weight and you hardly use the features.
