Q:

6-24 x 50 or 8-32 x 50; Help me choose

Hope you kind folks can help me out on this one. Looking for the pros and cons when comparing these two powers of optics. I have very little experience in this are and with this level of magnification so your expertise is greatly appreciated.

It’s ordered but I’m having to wait on the delivery from WWAG. Settled on the New Trajectory reticle over the mil-dot so that will be a bit of a learning curve but I think the payoff will be good but remains to be seen. Can’t wait to get my hands on it…

So, what did you do? Have you bought the 6-24?

I just thought about all of the movement on the optic when shooting off hand. Anything greater than 6 up close could get pretty wild for me.

6-24 is my choice. Less than 6 and more than 24 is not something most of us need for general use.

6-24 x 50 it is…

What are you going to use it for? Hunting, blinking, bench rest, competition?

High magnifications comes with very heavy price on the field of view and exit pupil size. When I hunt I set my magnification at the lowest (6 in my case) and seriously considering getting a new scope that goes down to 3. There is nothing more important than fast acquisition When you need to take an action in seconds. On the other hand if you want it for range shooting you can go with higher magnification depending on the quality of the optics and the range and accuracy of the gun.
