Q:

Cricket won’t take air

I’ve had this Compact for about 10 days now and it always filled Really fast like a P-rod.

Now I tried filling at maybe 90 bar and the probe leaks till I wiggle it to seal (always did that) and the line pressure goes up but the gauge doesn’t budge. There’s plenty of air in the Tigershark tank too. I tried with it cocked and uncocked and no leaks either way. WTF?

I’m very glad to have Ernest, wing, Old goat and Dyotat100 (Doug) on the forum, I would be so freaking lost fixing my guns without their knowledge.

Not to mention a huge asset to us. :biggrinn:

Well Wingman was pretty much right. After a pm to Matt from WWAG I called “the man” Ernest Rowe and he talked me thru removing the plug and checking the
o-ring on the little countersunk screw and turning it in and backing out enough to seal well. It seems the screw was pretty far out and loosened to the point where it wouldn’t fill as Wingman said.

One real important thing I learned from Ernest is** Don’t Drop the Hammer Without Air** it will break the cocking plate as in Tejani’s post. The other thing was Ernest walked me thru adjusting the sear engagement on the 2nd stage without even asking.

Man that guy is a HUGE asset to the Wild West team.

quote Wingman NZ:

nope sounds like the inlet oring has turned itself inside out and is sealing too tight.. drain all the air, remove front plug and remove the litte cap screw and oring at the front.. replace the o ring and lube with silicone grease, then re-tighten that cap screw only finger tight, just until the cap screw just touches the oring on the seat. Over tightening will cause it not to fill and under tightening will cause a leak or the situation you have now.

I was wondering if an o-ring got screwed up in there.

Sounds like a bad gauge on the gun.
