Has anyone converted their Standard .22 Cricket to .25 calib
I did a search but no results were found, though I know this has been discussed.
Has anyone actually had the mod done and can you share the cost and outcome?
The OEM is such a big, heavy gun in .25 caliber!

I believe with a longer barrel your pellet will go a lot further than 25 yards!!!

Ernest set this one up at 40fpe if I remember right, I have been shooting 4 mags an then refill, very fun to shoot and accuracy is great I’ve only been able to shoot out to about 25 yards so far. 😀
How much FPE does that .25 compact put out given the shorter barrel? Would make an excellent hunter with the light weight stock. If someone could design a similar bull pup with the whole barrel shrouded, it would be light, compact, powerful and quiet.
Love my Compact “Baby” Cricket. 😎
now your talking… a “real” Bullpup…
Sorry it’s taken so long to get back I have 2 different length LDC’s the short one is fairly loud the longer one much quitter, I;m planning to try one of Donny’s shrouds if I ever have time to
to send him measurements and pics. Thanks again Ernest
Shot count a loudness is an easy comprimise over length for me.. bullpups should be short.
Kalibrgun should be offering this as an option.
Agreed!
In my opinion that is the best looking cricket around! 😎

Louder yes, but not plenty loud. out in the open field range or hunting its manageable. with a 12″ shroud it sound like a 60fpe .25 cricket.
A compact .25 would be great for hunting but I’m curious how loud or backyard friendly it is? With the stock shroud, I beat it can get plenty loud, no?
She is a joy to hold and carry around —–> so compact and light! when shot you know that little girl has power!
Take care of her and have Fun shooting!
P.S. if she get sick send it over for a free checkup!
I have the .25 compact Now that Ernest built, she’s a very sweet shooter ive been shooting 4 mags and refilling. What with my job on the railroad changing and buying a house in Kansas City we’re remodeling before moving in I haven’t got to really work her out to see the full potential, that’s a real big word for me lol. Thanks Ernest for checking her out for me when I first got her. :biggrinn:
That photo is a .25 standard (with long forearm stock). A customer called Steve at WWAG to convert a brand new .22 standard to .25 cal. cut the barrel 1″ longer then stock, as you can see the stock shroud is further away from the scope clamp. she was set at 900fps shooting kings–I think she was getting 35 shots or so. she weight 1/2 lbs more then stock .22 standard. I think the cost was $350. cost of .25 barrel, .25 probe, machining fee and tuned/mods by me.
The .25 compact is a beast, that baby has a kick so I lowered her to 40FPE—- has a lot of barrel flip so you have to hold her down to get great accuracy, but only manage 23-25 shots a fill from 220B
I only have one personal .25 cal and its a standard, I think it’s a perfect length and weight.
