AOA has let me down for the LAST time! 👿 I have given them more than enough chances to make things right. They have proven to me that they are :confusedn: incompetent. I know that, to some of you, this is not anything new. :angrymob:
Therefore, I am looking to do ALL of my FX related business elsewhere. I would like to know what businesses are here in the USA that offer

Have a well known and respected tuner working for/with them
Have competitive prices

P.S. Please don’t turn this into a rant on AOA. I just want advise on where to spend my money. I’ll post a rant somewhere else or later on in this one.

There are other air rifles that are just as good or better than FX. You do not have to buy one.

I do not mind paying for shipping if I know the service is worth it. AoA charges shipping and, apparently, it IS NOT worth it. If they’re going to give the customer the run around, do questionable work, and BREAK the rifle, the least they could do is pay for shipping! Straight shooters is not a huge company, to my knowledge, and they have a policy of free shipping with rifle orders over $299. That’s the sort of free shipping I like. They’re making their profit and I feel like I’m getting a better deal by not having to pay even more to ship. It’s that sort of policy that makes me want to pile even more stuff into my order. I do this all the time with Pyramid. I won’t place an order unless it’s over $150 which gets me the free shipping. For me, it’s as if spending another $15 to get me over the $150 mark ends up getting me a $15 “whatever” for free because otherwise, I would have spent that $ on shipping and the total would have been the same.
By the way, “give the customer the run around, do questionable work, and BREAK the rifle” isn’t slander or defamation of character. I have proof to back all of these accusations up.
I like the boycott idea. However, I’m stuck between a rock and a hard spot. I don’t want to support AoA by paying to compete in the EBR. But it was REALLY neat shaking hands with Ted, Fred, Johan, and others as well as sitting down with the owner/co-founder of Daystate (and all his euro buddies including the euro airgun guy) during the awards banquet. And, I would love to look Frederick in the face and tell him what I’ve been, and am being put, through. And, my Dad has a house about a mile away from where the competition is being held. Also, I really do think FX makes a quality product but, since AoA is the sole importer, I have no choice but to support them in some way if I ever get an FX rifle. Rock and a hard spot.

As you may know AOA is the Sole importer of FX Rifles, with a LIMITED number of dealers that carry that product. Having had the opportunity to meet the owner of FX a couple of times. I feel it would be in his best interest to hear directly form you. Additionally he will again be visiting the US in November. Fredrick is very personable and passionate about his products.
As an alternative, a well know tuner Allen Zazadney (spelling?) is an Top rated Airgun Smith… He works on just about every manufacture to the best of my knowledge.
with regards to “Free Shipping”.. good luck, unless it is a “Big Company” that can absorb that expense or have super high volume rates. I don’t see that happening. (some where along the way it has to get paid for) … I would rather know I am getting “Excellent Service and Tuning” at a good price.. and well shipping is shipping. (alternately … you may be charge a a higher rate or price for the work… and the shipping charges may be “hidden” within the over all bill…. and if company say “FREE SHIPPING” .. does that make you feel better?)
As a side note.. I am not aware of any of AOA’s dealer being giving “Factory Authorized” training to support these products.
And as a last resort… “Boycott” the company and the products.. People only seem to listen when you hit their wallet?

Fredric is well aware of the problems with AOA. He has heard it until it runs out of his ears. But doesn’t seem to care. At one time, the truth about AOA use to be told on the yellow. OFTEN.
But that is no longer allowed. And to top it off, the prices charged for FX is this country is for a Premium AG. somthing it is not considered any where else but the USA. And the High Price has a lot to do with this. It is much cheaper over in Europe. And no doubt a very big reason why the prices are inflated here. To give the illusion of a Top of The Line Product.
They are good, no doubt. But Not premium by any means.
