Q:

Cricket Scope Objectives/Ring Sizes

I recently purchased a Cricket .22 Standard and will be arriving shortly. What size rings would be recommended for a 50 mm objective.

Very good question , I got my cricket and I thought I had a set of high Picatinny one inch high rings, Nope they were 30mm ,,
So I got a set of low rings on my cricket and it makes it real hard to get my eye center to the scope,, (fat face)
I have a Simmons 44 Mag 6-24×44
If the high rings do not work out I am going to order me the same scope I have on my Marauder, Its heavy but I really like it..
Its Leapers UTG 30mm 8-32×56 mil-dot , I really like this scope….

Congrats! We are all indebted to you!

A word of caution. Depending on scope, med high rings could be a problem. I have a cricket std, and a BSA Tactical 4-14×44 scope. Where I was setting the scope, the front bell touch the mounting rail. Could not make it fit. Went with http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0014VYTVU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 You might get away with HIGH but like I said, some of it depends on scope and placement. Just my 2 cents

Thanks Guys! I am going to try some QRW 30mm medium from Leupold since I want to be able to remove the scope and be near zero when I return it.

Its really a personal thing (comfort, height and length/shape of face, etc.) with cheek weld up to a point besides just the objective clearance for recreational shooting. I am using the extra-highs on all of them. The cheek pieces on the Crickets make a slight difference. I might take a slightly different approach if I were shooting BR.

I have QD tall rings on a 44 mm objective and it’s perfect for me.

I have med on mine and they work just fine..
