Which Barrel? 18" or 24"
I have a Condor from R&L airguns with extreme valve and .257 TJ’s barrel in 700mm. I also have the Maddog Ultima Short stock. I want to buy a 25 cal barrel for it for plinking and hunting and punching holes. I know the 24″ is faster but have questions:
1st Is the 18″ barrel as accurate as the 24″ in the LW?
2nd Want to add a shroud later. Which barrel is easier and cheaper to shroud. What kind of shroud should I install to keep the gun still within a reasonable length?
3rd What kind of performance should I expect from the extreme valve with JSB’ 25 gr pellets. I have the one piece top hat. Will I likely be putting in the large restrictor?
4th Will pyramid air ever get the 24″ barrels in stock? or does anyone else have them with free shipping? The 18″ barrel seems a bargain at $166 with free shipping and they are in stock

The length of the barrel doesn’t affect accuracy, but you are gonna loose some velocity but not to much.
If you wanna add a shroud I will definitely go with the 18inches, I have a Condor .25 with an 18 inches with Tony’s shroud and another .22 with 24 inches barrel without a shroud, guess which one stays at home? 😉

I like short compact for hunting, 18 should be plenty for speed.
