Feedback on Maddog stocks
I almost pulled the trigger on one at the Daisy/airgun show in Kalamazoo today. It sold before I gave in.
Honestly, after the fact I was super glad it did because as I was going over my $ V budget I forgot all about the big coin I need to drop on babysitting this week. Had I bought I would be in a real pinch. Never the less a Maddog is still on my short list.
What do users think of them? What I hope to achieve is a more traditional “feel”, and a check weld. Unless I am misunderstanding I don’t think any Maddog has a weld?
I’d be super interisted to see or read about what others have done for a stock and check weld. Especially one for a pauper.

The MD Stock has made a HUGE difference in the consistency at longer ranges. Wouldn’t go back to shooting the AF platform without it! 😉

Yes, I spent some time checking out Extreem Big Bores and chatting with Brent. That dude really impresses me. Last year I bent his ear for quite a while asking about how me makes his guns. He has mad skills and is a really nice easy to talk to guy.
Yesterday he really really impressed me with his passion for promoting our sport. He is all about teaching others. I hope he is making tons of $ because he really deserves it. His guns are amazing, but seeing his passion for the sport…. Super cool.
One of his guns is on my list. I’d so much love to hunt with one. Changes in Michigan laws have now made that type of gun legal in zone 3 for hunting deer (where I live and the show was) in MI. Realistically, I’ll probably need to wait till my kids are out of HS (or needing $ from me to get by. Special needs kids bla bla bla).
Did ya holler at our booth? If not ya better next year. We were promoting our airgun club (SMGC Pneumatics) pretty much across the isle from Mr. Hollow point (another great guy). I’m the fat-ugly dimwitted dude who was signing folks up for our email list.
I have the ultima short and it holds like a dream compared to stock AF. I was also at the Kazoo show yesterday. Did you check out the Extreme big bores?
The MD stock WILL GIVE YOU A MORE TRADITIONAL hold and feel.
I’m in the middle of actually testing the improvement of the guns “FLEX” due to the addition of the MD stock. But I shoulder it often and the gun feels much better. MY NECK THANKS ME….lol!
I made my own cheek welds that fit right on the bottle. I’m on the wife’s i-pad right now so I can’t post a photo but I have photos up in Talon/Talon SS section. New member wanting to show off his baby.

Only heard good things about those stocks! 😉
A full length stock on a AF platform is a huge help, definitely worth the $$. IF I couldn’t make my own the MD stock would be top on the list for sure!
