Q:

.25 43gr* Hollow points in Cricket

Robert Vogel was selling his hollowpoints at the Kalamazoo airgun show today.
I got a bag of the 43* grain .25cals. They look very clean, mean, and uniform.
I know they’re kinda heavy, but I’m curious how the Cricket likes them. They would put a hell of a hurtin on a bunny or squirrel, let alone a starling!
If anyone has tried these, give me your report. My area calls for rain the next couple days but ill get in an accuracy session soon as I can and report back.

In what power/velocity do they shoot at ? Or you haven“t chronoed them yet.

Got 3 50yd groups in today with these big ol’ 43gr HPs.
All three groups you can cover with a quarter, except 1 of the three did have a flyer.
Best group of the three was 5/8″ ctc. I would say these shot fantastic and exceeded my expectations. Groups were shot from bipod, sitting position. Wind 5mph left to right.
My scope was zeroed for 25.4gr Kings, these 43gr HP’s shot 12″ lower.
I would’ve really done more extensive testing with many more groups but I only had 50 of them to begin with, and at $28 for 50, these will be used exclusively for hunting.
They fit the Cricket magazine like a glove. They are snug going in to the breech, but if your slow with steady pressure on the side lever, they seat no problem.
Mr Hollowpoint sells the .25 HP in a few different weights.
He also sells hollowpoints in .22 in various weights, the lightest being 30gr, for all you Standard/Compact owners.
These are serious hunting bullets that will do serious damage to prey. Check em’ out!
