Cricket Mod v2.0
Finally got my lathe up and running and having a blast with it. Made this 7 inch, screw on Carbon fiber moderator to replace the OEM shroud. It extends past the air gauge 1 3/4 inches. The moderator is only 6 inches long but the other inch is just cosmetic. My goal is to to get it as quiet as my other mod (OEM shroud + 7 inch slip on shroud). I am pretty darn close to it. The way it is now is backyard friendly but I just love the sound that my slip on shroud makes.
For some reason the moderator looks huge in the picture but it is actually the same size or just a tiny tiny bit smaller than OEM.
I have to say these guns are powerful. I’ve taken the moderator apart so many times that there was a time when I forgot to screw in the set screws by the screw on threads and the moderator shot out and hit my fence like a grenade launcher.
Back to the dungeon to work on a new cap for it to match the rear.

Looks great Donny! I launched an old Condor shroud once; good thing it landed in tall grass.
Y’know, if you rig fold-out archery blades and put a sharp, pointed (hp) cap on those moderators, we could loosen the grub screws and hunt deer by drilling them w/ the can ๐
