Q:

Mrod is more fun

I bought a condor in .20 its great but I gotta say it just doesn’t shoulder well ive had a mrod in 22 for 2 years and it just plain old outshoots the condor hands down, am I doing something wrong or is it supposed to be hard to shoot good groups with the condor.

I too have had lots of good times with more powerful and more expensive guns; however, the Marauder is just way too much fun for the price. Yes, its not as powerful (but powerful enough even at long range), yes, its not amazing craftsmanship (but its a good looking gun), yes, it may not be amazing quality parts inside of receiver (but its ACCURATE!).. and so forth and so on….. Marauder does it well.

You need a Wokbutt for that shouldering problem.

Hi,

I also have an AF (Talon SS) and the MRod. I used to shoot the MRod all the time. Now I shoot the AF a lot more because it’s lighter and I find it more accurate.
I do miss the repeater though, and I, like you, I like the more conventional stock of the MRod.

As Wildfire mentioned, you can find a good compromise with the AF’s by playing with the scope rings and/or an offset adapter for the tank.
It fits a little odd 🙂 compared to a conventional stock, but you get used to it.

Have fun
Chris

Hi Ryan;
I have both an M-Rod in .22 and a Talon-Dor in .25! I do love my Marauder BuT my AF gun out shoots it by a long run. You say that you’re having trouble shouldering your gun. Can you elaborate on this?
It’s possible you may need a taller scope mount or even better, one of Tonys drop down tank adapters.
I like my gun to be on the short side so I chose to go with a slightly taller scope mount. I’ve also added a recoil pad to my butt stock for comfort reasons. I don’t really know. what AF was thinking when they designed a butt stock which is basically a steel plate.
