Q:

Advise needed

I have been lurking here for a whole.
I have been thinking of getting an mrod from some time, but feature creep has got me looking at air force stuff and beyond.

Now I am back to mrod pistol.
Thoughts on it vs talonss and talonp?

Is quality big effort concern that I should get at someplace like py-air and pay from the 20 for 20?

Mostly just for backyard fun and squirrels. Accuracy and noise are biggest features to me

Thanks

I have a marauder pistol and love it. They are very pellet fussy, typically it will only shoot two types at best..
With Beeman FTS pellets my P-rod will consistently shoot 1/2″ 40yd groups.
I have a Marmot Militia shroud extension and shoot in the house regularly without disturbing anyone- very quiet!
Mine is shooting 16fpe for 20 shots.. You can double the shot count to 40 if you lower the power a little.
The Marauder pistol is very versatile- I have mine in a bullpup configuration.
The barrel for them is a bit of a crap shoot, I was lucky and got a good one. Replacement barrels are cheap though ~$20
You can also buy a very accurate hammer forged barrel from MM that shoots JSB pellets for around ~$130
There are many aftermarket options for all crosman guns.
They are very easy to tweak and repair, replacement parts are also very cheap.
I would absolutely recommend a Marauder Pistol for fun and backyard pesting-
