Q:

JSB new pellet for .25???

Read something about a new .25 pellet, 34 gr from JSB due in a couple of months. Anyone have anymore info? Can Edgun handle the heavier pellet?

Yes, it can if the pellet is longer them JSB King. The point is that now at EDguns .25 we have the diameter of the chanal to the barrel 5.2 mm, if we make it more the JSB King will stuck by its head to the edge of the chanal due to its shortness. If the new pellet is longer it means that the onwer of the EDgun Matador can just drill the chanel up to 6 mm and thus have more energy with the same adjastments. The only question I am worry about if the new pellet will fly well from chocked barrels.

I was in May of this year at JSB factory in Czech Republick and we talked about new pellet for .25 but I still have no samples.

Hi Ed, If the new pellets do shoot well in the Edgun you could consider a design change to prevent the shorter pellets dropping their heads into the transfer port consider by opening up the valve transfer port to 7-8mm like the .30cal and drilling 2 smaller 3mm ports side by side in the forward breech section rather than one large one. Another way to do it is to cut a grove around the inside of the forward breach and run three or four smaller rotary ports around it.

Thanks for the info,
I look forward to more details about the new JSB pellet. If we can get more fpe with results like the JSB 25.4 gr. this should be a great addition!

I am anticipating testing them!
