Q:

6-24 or 8-32…

Which power do you like best?

My scope will be used for:
70% target shooting 75 to 100 yards.
30% hunting 15 to 75 yards.

6-24 will work great for short distance and long distance.

IMO 6-24 is a better range for hunting/target shooting, unless you are getting into serious bench rest competition. 8x is getting into the range where it can be tough to get on target fast for hunting, so 6 works better there than 8, and unless you are shooting very seriously, 24x is plenty for 100 yards. Actually, my favorite for pellet guns is 2.5-16 (but I don’t shoot at 100 yards much, I’m usually at 80yards or less).

I had an 8-32 and sold it. Too much scope for an airgun ( in my opinion )! I just couldn’t get a clear picture at close ranges. I think that 6-24 would be a better choice for what you described. The scope on both my Talon-Dor and my Marauder are 4-14 power and seem to do a great job!
Hope this helps!
