Q:

Talon SS un-usually loud

Mine (.177) is 5 years old. The last time I fired it. It was very very loud. By counting the shots I know the tank had
about 2000 to 2200 psi of pressure. Power lever was at 5.

I lube the seals on regular basis. Checked the breech seal with a flash light and it looked OK. *Pellets are set
about 1/8 to 1/4″ in the breech before firing.

Your input is appreciated.

loud meaning report from the gun (muzzle) or the gun itself making extra noise

report from gun (sonic crack) slow the pellets down, very easy for 177 to break the sound barrier in these guns, especially if you are using alloy pellets or similar
