Sorry thought he ment the mtc connect true german scopes are of the best glass zeiss ect 😉 to be fair u guys get great deals on scopes up to what us in the uk get charged once our goverment add VAT we get robbed atvb dave

Dave I think ig720 was talking about German and Austrian glass. Not scope from companies who contract their scopes to be built in the east Japanese glass is good but it’s not German. Nothing touches a top tier scope from the Fatherland

The best glass on earth comes from Europe, let’s hope Ed has a connect 🙂

  all the mtc range including the connect are made in hong kong / china good scopes but budget ones and just sold from europe the best glass most sort after here in the uk is from the phillapines or japan old simmons or old school tasco hold there value something shocking here

Here is the video through that scope made by the phone camera at 175 meters.

And compare

Two questions Ed…

A) What is the expected cost of the Ed-scope?

2) Is there REALLY a multi-shot, lever action Leyla?

Kind regards…

Uncle Hoot:

A Video thru scope optics is about as useful as one thumb up in the ass while you suck the other for comparison purposes. Human eye is one fine instrument although it can be fooled quite easily. There´s no way in hell a 300 $ scope will ever have the clarity nor the fine mechanics (exact clicks, repeatibility etc.) a good quality, marquee name German, Austrian or Japanese scope has. To try to fool people thinking that´s the case is just wrong and if there still are people who think that in the world of optics you get the same quality as with good, pricey scopes but with a part of the cost those guys deserve to be fooled. Period.

That said there ARE good scopes (for the money) out there that don´t cost you an arm and a leg but don´t EVER expect to get the same quality as you do with pricey and well known brands of scopes. Ever. You get what you pay for 99.83 % of the time.

From what i can see from that Video (but as said Videos say nothing about the subject) the EG optics are far milkier than the Bush Tac ones. The Pink Floyd soundtrack is cool though …

I do agree with you,,,based on this review https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CX3hLSI59ko ,,, the S&B is number 1 // and US optic is number 2 ,,,this review is really helpful and informative,,,

I don’t know about you guys but from my experience when I’m shopping for a scope, having a great warranty is one of my top priorities. A manufacturer that stands behinds their scopes without question gets the nod from me since issues can and do arise. Ed makes great guns but budget scopes without a solid warranty within the US doesn’t spark my interest.

What’s with the big ass oversized turret knobs?….
Ed already got $2000 from me for the matador I’ll stick with my hawke.

a good review, if it turns out to be a great scope I might ditch the Tactical Hawke I have on my .30cal! 😀

In the video I saw that… was written …made in Russia …and the clarity of Edgun scope was better than the other one…

But I would like to have it with variable magnification. …

Are the scopes made in china? The SWFA SS scopes are Japanese.

If i’m not wrong, Ed told it was made in Russia, but i’m not sure about it. As we can see at the end of vid, Edgun scope has better clarity than SWFA, hope its price below 300 bucks :8:

So,,,next time we can order a full Edgun set ,,,Rifle+Scope+Ring+Soft case … nice to have full rifle set in the same brand,,,

congrats Eduard,,, :8: :8:
