Q:

fx bobcat 22, , my thoughts a couple thousand pellets later

Heres my thoughts on the bobcat fac 22 call regged. .After owning this rifle for a couple of.months , all I can say it’s absolutely outstanding !! My gun is running at 36 ft lbs with 16tg..little over 38 with 18g and just under 41 ft lbs with 21g barracudas. Accuracy is simply fantastic, I’ve killed a lot of stuff with this gun in the last couple of months, I get a high shot count (I stopped counting at 71), the rifle handles very well, I would like to thank sir ville, for all his help,, Frederick for building the rifle to my specs at very short notice for me to collect when I was in Sweden, , and thanks to tobbe at luftvappen.se for supplying my rifle. The only other pre charge I like more than this was a steyr LG hunter
Frederick this rifle badly needs a weaver rail !!! For those of us who need to switch between nv and day scope..
Ok now waiting for the flack!! So I will start it, after owning 2 edguns this gun pisses all over them ,I’ve got no axe to grind with ed my own personal findings and experience!! Next best gun to a bcis the cricket imo

It’sall true too. I would’t lie to you guys.

As said : What happens in the Closet , stays in the Closet. In my neighbourhood we use BC´s to rescue drunken teenagers who have been drinking too much and need a fast Gastric Lavage. We show them a climpse of the Beluga and even the hardest wannabe tough guy will hurl.

Same here. I also have a .22 BC and love it. I’ll get around 75-80 good shots and it’s not regulated. Steve next time your at Ole Ville’s house check his closets for a pair of Bobcats. I know he has one or more hidden.

My two favorite rifles….

Another Bobcat fan here, i prefer it over my edguns that i owned, i have a MK1 & 2 verminator and i rate those very highly too, better than my daystates, my favorite out of all my guns is my Steyr hunting 5 semi auto

Rgds steve

I shot this particular BC when Scirrocco was on his Tour de Sweden and eventhough it pisses me off to admit it those BC’s – and i’ve shot a load of them – do shoot well and feel lighter/smaller and more nimble than their Fugly appearance suggest.
Nevertheless – it’s a BobCat , the threated Beluga 😉
Scirrocco : the Magpies are back with a vengeance so you need to come over again.

Hi
The bc shoots extremely well, i also love the cricket, the bc trigger is outstanding, as regards repairs if they can be built, they can be repaired !! Everything is sealed by o rings,so no big deal the bc handles very easily,it actually looks bulkier than it feels, mine iz very quiet without an additional silencer , as for price of mags not a big issue 2 iz normally more than ample for most situations
But it definatsly would benefit from a weaver rail az i use night vision a lot,
Rgds ste e

Ive always appreciated FXs style. Those shiny black guns. The older actions were beautiful- the tarantula, cyclone..
I think all 3 of the major pups have qualities to be admired. For example-
I believe if you took measured accuracy of all Edguns, they would be the most accurate of the bull pups on average. That doesn’t mean Bobs Bobcat couldn’t be more accurate than Matts Matador.. I believe Edguns on average win out in accuracy.
Crickets and Matadors are also easily serviced at home. I would’ve bought a Matador, but the side lever of the Cricket is the main thing that swayed my choice. Well, that and the fact replacement Matador parts may be hard to come by..
I also looked at the Bobcat when I was shopping. The length of the BC kind of put me off as well as the price for mags and the difficulty with user repairs.
All this aside, I would like to own one of each. Each gun has its own style and merit. Each offers something desirable that the other does not.
I kinda shake my head when I read posts about one being overall better than the others. The Cricket was more “me,” plain and simple.
