Just want to say my regulator is still not in. They said about two weeks but it’s still not here.i didn’t forget to post those numbers . Soon I hope because the weather here in pa is getting colder and more colder
Well I just spent a lot of money for nothing than, lol at least the hammer weight is closes to 85 gr than factory one .Has any one try the factory hammer with out the weight? You may need a longer spring I bet.just throwing it out there.
With a reg all you need is stock valve and hammer. My .25 uses stock valve, 85 gram hammer with stock spring and 0 PW.
Ok, this is what I am doing, I bought the top hat and condor hammer from talon tunes. So when my new regulator from altaros comes in , I’ll post the number of shots, and fps. This will be with the factory stock tank on the condor ss .25, till than I just want to say thanks to every body for all the great information .
Do manufactures know of this secret ? If so why don’t they share this with us air gunners or make them part of the regulator that they sell?
Yes that is the chamber. I make them for myself. That is how big it needs to be for .25. It is a little small for the .30.
Ty for the information , I saw your post on your .30cal you do good work. I also notice the prechamber on your rifle ahead of your regulator, is that what you are talking about for the regulator to work at a lower psi? If so , who sells them or is that a costume part?
I use a 62 ci tank. I start at 3000 psi and it comes of the reg right around 1600 psi. I can get right around 110 shots. If I turned it down to 900 fps it would get over 150 I’m sure.
A reg setup needs a chamber of regulated air to work right. If not reg has to be set at higher psi to make up for lack of volume.
Wow, that is some nice numbers. On the .25 jsb ,what is your start fill presser and how many consistent shots do get and what is your end presser at the end of your string?
Actually that is not good. Compensating for volume with higher psi.
I can get 940 fps on 1600 psi in .25 with JSB’s. With my.30 I get 905 fps on 1600 psi with 45 gr and 880 fps with 50 gr. If I make the chamber larger it will work the same with 1400 psi.
Ya, to get 920fps at 2175.psi is pretty good.ill let you no how consistent the shot numbers are.i am not sure I’ll get more shot numbers per fill but I am really just after consistent fps for accuracy .
Oh, this is good to know they must work better then the other reg, probably the volume thing, and direct from bottle, they are the most consistent reg I have ever seen, I should get one myself, let’s know how you like it.
I emailed altaros and gave them the pellet size and wieght and brand and the speed that I would like 950 he email me back saying 150 bar would give 920 fps . He also said he would set it to 160 bar for a little higher speed. I have one order set for 160 bar . The cost is 130 euros, that’s like 166 in usd
well you would want 2500psi, that should get you the speed you need. If you can, email the pellet size you want to shoot and the speed you’re looking for.
