Q:

Extra Fill Probe

I’m looking for an extra fill probe for the Cricket. I have extra foster fittings so I just need the probe itself. PA has the the probe only but I need to confirm it’s the same size and will work. Anyone been down this road?

Thanks guys, I sent John a email. I still want to try making one, just for the learning…That lathe I mentioned is an old Atlas but it’s in really nice shape.

Ernest gave me this name for the one piece foster fill probe. John is in Colorado. John Hagan at hagantool@aol.com

After looking at the photo again I’m still wondering when the center bore is done. If small enough, from the Foster end and up to the vent hole, first???

I I turn it around drill the 2.5mm bore last once it is all cut to length.

Gracklesmacker, Aerotulz55 here, I make them. Email me

That’s what I’m talking about 🙂 Nice looking work there for sure. I guess you bored the hole through center first. I’ve got a lathe that used to be my fathers. I haven’t really done anything on it yet but that might be a fun project during these short daylight months.

A weird looking piece indeed. What sort of Cake is that ??

It looks like they would be pretty easy to make with a lathe and the know how. I guess you could use stainless or brass.

My cricket probe has the foster machined right into it. No adapter needed.

Who makes the all in ones here in North America?

I found out through Ribbonstone that they are definitely different.
