25 Cal Dirty Barrel And Accuracy
It looks like I need to clean my barrel about every 10 mags or less. I was shooting today and the accuracy fell apart. I pulled a patch wet with Balistol and yup it was dirty, but what I’m finding every time I clean is a lot of lead flakes on the first patch. I’m not sure why and I’m hoping one of Ernest’s tune ups with resolve most of that issue. The patch pulls kind of rough for the first 6-8 inches and then it smooth out quite a bit. After I’ve pulled about 3 wetted patches I finish up with probably four dry ones. Your can see a few of the lead flakes in the photo attached but with the naked eye there is quite a bit more. I’ve never seen this much lead on any other of my guns. Anyone shooting the 25cal seeing this?
