Q:

air fill

I have a Talon SS with a spin lock tank and high flow valve. I’m tired of pumping it up…I love to shoot but I’m really tired of pumping. I need some info as far as how many fills I can get if I buy a tank. So, one guy tells me 60 fills from the $700 tank at PA. another guy tells me 40 fills from a 88cubic inch paintball tank.(4500psi). So I thought I’d throw it out here and see what everyone else says. Seems SCUBA is something I cant get filled or hydro tested without driving 2 hours. There’s a paintball park about 8 miles on the other side of my place of employment, so I guess I’m only shopping for carbon fiber. I appreciate any 411 I can get that can help me determine what purchase to make.

Yes its a great option. Considering the price and getting as many fills as the big CF tanks it seems like more people would buy them.

My bad still a great option. :butkick:

Luxfer makes a scuba tank that is 106cf and 4500psi . My local dive shop sells for around 400.00 and you would need a 300 din valve. Just another option. Jeff :darth-vader: ps i believe that your paintball park could fill this set up.

That tank is actually rated at 4350 psi. I also have that tank and it works great giving me as many fills as the largest CF tank can but cheaper. The only draw back to the tank is its size and weight but I dont carry mine around while I am hunting.

With an adapter the paintball place should be able to fill a SCUBA tank. Not as awesome as a 4500psi carbon fiber tank, but a heckuva lot less money.

I asked a very similar question a week or two ago. My scuba tank is now here (and filled!) and I’m just waiting on my adapter, due Thursday, so I can retire the handpump to backup status…
