Which scope is better for R3M?
Hi,
Do you guys have any experience with MTC viper connect 3-12×32 and SWFA SS 10x42m tactical. I cant decide which one to get for my standard matador, maybe some of you guys can help me pick or At lease which one is better.
Thanks..

I have both the mtc and the SWFA SS 12×42. One of my R3Ms is also topped with a Hawke Sidewinder 30 tactical. Comparing the 3 scopes on the R3 the SWFA is lighter, more compact, has better glass and better mechanics. I was just at one of the dairy farms and I shot 50 pigeons plus 30 Eurasian doves and I came to the conclusion that a variable power scope is not important. The reticle of the SWFA is thin and the parallax is very useful for an airgun. Without a doubt get the SWFA fixed power. On the Edgun because of the 30 MOA rail you will be able to spin the turrets out to 250 yards. After all Ed used one before he copied the design for his own brand of scopes. That is a pretty good testament for the SWFA
