The perfect squirrel killer
It took some tinkering, tuning and time, but she is DEADLY now. Can’t say enough about the Maddog stock and Doug’s customer service. He seriously spent over 2 hours on the phone with me just talking pcp’s. The stock made this gun into a different animal. No poi shifts and extremely accurate. I also went on a search for a light scope, after all this is my dedicated squirrel rig. If you are in the market for a light, bright solid built scope, I highly recommend the ClearRidge ultra rm. The glass rivals what’s in my fx3 leupold. In fact, I’ll probably be sticking some fx3’s up for sale and replacing them with CR.
-TTTH with no insert
-O ring behind the top hat
-Power wheel set @ 3-12
– Starting at 2900 psi on the airforce gauge
-Ending psi 2125
-40 shots Starting at 931 fps, peaking at 955 fps and back down to 931

I honestly don’t know what size the oring is, it was on it when I got the gun.

WHat size oring did you use? I have the quick change top hat wide open as well and at the power at the lowest setting I am getting 1000 fps with 27 grain pellets. (.25). With an oring it dropped down to 725 fps same pellet. Weird..

Very small change! It took lots of pellets and time to figure it out, though. Whoops, left the pellet part out. Yes, it’s the JSB 25.4’s. The scopes are really amazing. I was on the fence because I had never seen one for myself, but I’m glad I took a shot on them. From what I gather, the Japan glass is made at the LOW facility, which puts out some great glass in general.
Nice job on the set up! Thats a pretty small velocity change over a 40 shot string. May have to take a peak at the cr scopes also. Never heard of them. Are you slinging the jsb 25.4 gr?

Guess we are both in the dark. Mine oring fell out today while shooting.
I found the oring so I’ll let you know what I end up with.
