Does anyone know how Zocoloco is doing?
I have thought about him often and have had him in my prayers. He gave so much to this community and I miss his presence. Anyone know what’s up with him?

Well…thanks to none of you ‘tardos, I got my trigger set up. I had to use a pair of pliers and a hex wrench, but fortunately no electricity was involved, and no one was hurt.
I did tighten up the trigger spring and that helped the first stage actually materialize.
However…shooting 31gr Barracudas, I can only get 839 fps with the HST full in. Does that sound right? Seems like I remember hearing some of you guys getting well up into the 900 fps range. Perhaps when I get Ernest’s delrin mod installed and clean/polish the hammer and parts I might gain some speed??? Anyone know?

‘Ride….I have no intent to notify anyone that I am dead! Let them find it out for themselves the hard way.
My father-in-law, a crusty old German, I am fairly certain…was dead for almost a month before anyone noticed! He never ate that much, and hadn’t moved from the same chair in front of the television since no one could remember. He didn’t even decompose…being older than hell, wrinkled as a prune, and severely dehydrated to begin with, he just seem to loose some weight, and got a little quieter. He seldom spoke to anyone to begin with. He didn’t care for people and people didn’t care for him. He was the kind of guy who, if you fainted in front of him on a public street, would step over your body, and go about his own business. Him figuring you had your problems and he had his!
Anyway, one day his wife noticed his beer had gone untouched for over a week and then she knew something was wrong. She wasn’t alarmed…just pissed that a perfectly good beer had been allowed to go flat! The coroner but couldn’t tell if he was really dead or just being “difficult”…it was a small town and everyone knew him. They finally had his family doctor come in, and he couldn’t tell either…claiming “The old bastard didn’t have much of a pulse to begin with….so it’s hard to tell for certain!”.
The issue was resolved when they were putting him on the gurney to take him out to the clinic for an EKG, and one of his arms broke off. So, they just tossed the parts in a body bag and ran him over to the funeral home. The family got off cheap. There was no need to embalm him because he had essentially dried completely out.
Anyway, we had him put in a pine box for $200, and buried for cheap. I did, however, go an extra $350 to have Doll Brothers Cement Company come in and pour five yards of fast-set concrete over, and around, the coffin, just to be certain the old bastard wouldn’t dig his way out later in the week. He had a way of shaking off illness that would have really messed up other normal humans!
I told my wife I’d take care of the headstone, and we left town, never to return. I had an old friend of mine down at the cement company pour a concrete marker, shaped like an erect penis, and stick it upright at the head of his plot. As a nice touch I had him inlay the words “KEEP OUT” in multi-colored pebbles, down the shaft of the penis. I never liked that son of a bitch! He never liked me either. Things are that way in a small town. Every five years or so, I send my childhood buddy, Rex, $20 to go out and piss on his grave, and send me a picture of the urine running down that headstone.
Well…I’m still trying to figure out how to adjust the trigger on my Vulcan. My wife is pissed, as usual, but my dog is next to my feet and I’m going to fry up a couple eggs and some sausage hash for lunch…one of my favorite meals. All my wife cooks now is supper, and that is always leftovers…the problem being I don’t ever remember the leftovers being served in the first place??? She’s a lot like her father…

To the best of my knowledge, Old Goat is alive and as well as any of us can reasonably expect. He is not as active as he was because his life circumstances have changed and other “issues” occupy his time. Please understand that he and I have not communicated about this, and I’m relating what little I know based on past conversations with him.
Here’s the thing…most of us on here are older hobby members, by older I mean in our 30’s to 60’s…and even older. Otherwise, most of us couldn’t afford to do this. There are younger members to be certain, but most really active members are older, and established, with more assets and fewer responsibilities, than the younger guys, and can afford to keep up with a lot of the new products as they hit the market.
Over the years I have noted many very involved members come and go…sometimes they return, but seldom. Reasons being loss of interest, other responsibilities, health, family issues, and the fact that some of us will sooner or later be assuming room temperature is something the other members must accept as part of the deal here.
We were part of their lives for a period, and they part of ours…but things change and people move on. I miss Mamcrackin, Roachcreek, Zocoloco, and many of the guys who were very active on here for several years, and made great advancements in our knowledge and technology. This forum has provided many ideas for advancements in this hobby that have been taken up by the producers of our pcp equipment. For every active member, there are likely hundreds of “silent” members who check in to see what’s going on, to learn, to be entertained, and to see who’s doing what to whom.
No need to mourn for those who have come and gone, they are just “us” with different names. We belong to a community. It’s vibrant and alive…and subject to constant change.
Now, with great sincerity, may I suggest you all go fuck yourselves…I’ve got other things to do.
