I am sorry for your loss.

Well said Hoot, my condolences to you and your family Doug. I read about it this morning and he was in my thoughts throughout the day. Although most of us never met, there’s a bond between the fellas on this forum. When the airgun world slowed down we shared stories of our family and other hobbies. Today we share your sadness. RIP Christopher

So sorry to hear this.

He was extremely strong. Mom Dad and Sis, maybe not so much, but we will endure and take him through the rest of our lives in our hearts. Over 20 fabulous guys from his unit made it in from the farthest reaches of this great country to pay their last respects. The services were filled with pride, respect, honor and tradition. As Hoot said, Freedom Isn’t Free, he would have stood for nothing less than for us to adapt and march forward, and so we will. Thanks Guys.

Sorry to hear this Ride.

Be strong.

Thats sad news Ride, my deepest condolences.
I watched that move the other day, very well made movie with glimpses of what people like your Son endure..
I could only imagine what it was like watching that movie with the weight of your families hearts at this time.
Stay strong brother and may we all one day see peace and freedom.

Freedom Is Not Free!

The price is not gold, land, or worldly treasures…it’s the flesh and blood of our youngest, and our best. No one can truly appreciate that loss, until they consider what these bright young men may have contributed, had they returned alive and been allowed to live out their lives fully.

The 10th Mountain Division is a low profile elite group. Their battlefield is vertical. Conventional ground forces can’t effectively fight that battle, it requires those who don’t intimidate easily. They are special people, with special skills!

Sorry to hear about your loss. He died with honor, and 250 million Americans are safer today because of him, and many more like him.

My sincere condolences. May you and your family stay strong.

Condolences to you and yours

Sorry for your loss, Ride, I can find no better words.
