pallet in barrel
Hi,, new to my gun,airforce condor .25 24 inch barrel
shot about 150 pallets, going great
then had pallets stuck in barrel
gun on 2000psi…power of 7
got them out,,,
tried again and got stuck again
second issue is the tank, took out grub srew,,but it want unlock with tool,,very tight..
please help
anyone had these issues

I am fortunate enough to have a Crony unit that I use to adjust my Top hat to the FPS I want. With my air guns, I have found a chronograph to be an indispensable tool. I use a small amount of blue lock tight or flexible fabric glue on the threads of the 2 set screws and have not had any problems since. They can be readjusted if necessary to change pellet speed if I switch to a different weight pellet. I also have the TT single piece top hat but like to fine tune my velocities more exact, so I went back to my factory top hat.
Good Luck on resolving your issue. Once you figure it out, you will really enjoy shooting this air rifle.
For the valve stem, talk to Tony of Talon Tunes.
As far as the chrony goes, I think you would be better off with a different one than the Combro. It may work fine on an air rifle where you have a bare barrel to fasten it to, but if it is shrouded it may not fit. Also, if you do not get the alignment right, you may see a chunk of it go sailing through the air when you pull the trigger. One that mounts on a tripod will be much more versatile. Just remember not to put it up too high. Many a chrony has met it’s untimely end because the shooter did not anticipate the height of the scope over the barrel.

have complained to airforce,, think I need to buy a 1 piece

Welcome to the forum! Like Chris said, your loose top hat was most likely your problem. Once you figure out the setting you want it at, starting with .070-.075, take out the grub screws and locktite them in place at your preferred setting.
The factory top hat on these guns is notorious for coming loose. When this happens, both velocity and consistancy will change.
If it keeps coming loose, which some do, you may want to think about a one piece unit.

if the tophapt was loose, most likely you were not getting enough air in the breach to push the pellet all the way through.
You will need to adjust the tophat until you find the velocities that you want for a specific power setting.
Ususally the tophat clearance is between 0.075″ – 0.1″ depending on your preference.
So get your chrony out and do some shooting 🙂

got tank off just tight..
noticed valve on end of tank was loose,, have tightened two small grub srews
could that have been the cause of my problem with palets staying in barrel

Once you have your tophat adjustted for peek performance it should be about the same for standard pellets. Then you should find the fill pressure “PSI” for each pellet that gives you the bath tub curve of pellet velocities “FPS”..
Once you have all that info you should be getting the maximum number of consistent shots for your rifle for various pellets.
BUT by then you should be tired of the problems with the top and may have noticed those pointed tiny grub screws have dented in the thin walled valve stem. That slightly restricts air flow so then you need to straighten it out.
Many of us have fought that battle for a while but then along came the TalonTunes One Piece valve with two sturdy inserts covers from small through jumbo pellets and slugs
It’s all fun whether you want to tuff it out to get the experirnce for yourself or would rather listen to advice of those that got tired of old flimsy.
