Real Russian winter hunting with EDgun
A friend of mine came to me for few days. He alway went with video camera and make a lot of video. During the nights he worked with it and the last day when he left me he gave me his video, I just upload it. It takes you an hour to watch, but I hope it will not waste of time 🙂 I recommend to watch it with Full HD quality.

I used two guns, standard in .25 and standard in .30. Standard .25 was set to 285 m/sec for JSB King and standard .30 was set for 265 m/sec for JSB 2.9 grams, the trajectory was exactly the same so I used the same data from ballistic calculator for both guns.

I like that we get so see some of Ed’s life and hear his thoughts not only about hunting which is interesting but also his values, I agree with the camp fire conversation, it’s the same for the entire planet not just Russia. Only people who live this way and teach their kids the same are truly free and happy.
What was that dead animal you found Ed? Elk? Moose? Had another hunter had got it or wolves etc?
Is most of your wooded land birch and spruce? Those Blackcocks certainly seem to like that birch seed in the winter, what do they feed on in the not so snowy Russian months?
