New to me Colibri,,,,first time handling one and initial impressions are this gun is SOLID! Ernest put his magic into this one.I did add a Picitinny riser to this because i needed more height for scope alignment and the extra high rings without the riser looked liked chit.
I just can’t tell everyone how well this 177 compact shoots! I should have picked this up a couple years ago…

I don’t quite understand what you stated, Greg. However, with a far zero of 26 yards and scope magnification set at 10X, holdover is four mildots at 50 yards. According to Chairgun, pellet drop would be seven inches from zero.
10 FPS (extreme spread) that all most an inch variation at 50 ………. (.8″) maybe ?

I hear yah, though to me any accuracy in shooting, when achieved, is never boring. When it comes to down to it, to me, there is dead accurate (PCP) and then there is challenging accurate (springer). Both still require skills.
I also shoot a springer. As a matter of fact, my TX200 is what I shoot to keep my skills in check, and I always have fun doing so. And I shoot it a lot! It’s been with me for nine years, and after thousands upon thousands of pellets, several mainsprings, piston seals, and breech seals it still shoots to OEM specs and is limited only to my skills. The TX200 is built to outlive the user as long as it’s well cared for.

Me too once had a Theoben Rapid at lower power setting, one tin of pellets with one fill.
When the tin was gone I knew I had to refill.
But the problem was also that pcps are boring accurate and so easy to shoot and at backyard distances there really was no challenge.
My HW45 (springer pistol) has some kick and is really a joy to shoot accurate.
Pippo, I agree that the Cricket is still one of the best bullpups around. But that aside, I too dislike having to keep pumping and servicing PCPs too often. They are the reasons why I had decided to tune and power down my .22 Cricket to shoot at only 8 FPE. At its current state of tune, I have over 450 shots at my disposal, with the entire shot count producing a variation of 10 FPS (extreme spread). Let me tell you, for backyard shooting 8 FPE is enough. At 50 yards the pellet (14.3 gr.) is still carrying 6 FPE, which is enough to take down a pigeon. I used to think more power was better, but I’ve found that it’s more fun putting precedence on shot placement and precision over it instead. Plus, with lower power the seals last longer, the gun is much quieter, and the mechanical parts are less stress-induced.
