ATN X-sight
There has been lots of reports with battery drain so I decided to actually play with mine a bit….
Battery test with Energizer NIMH Rechargeable
-Freshly charged
-Day time 60 degrees
-(Compass, Time, GPS, WIFI) turned OFF or put to NONE
-Brightness set at: 2
-Covered objective in between time checks
@ 33 min – battery indicator came on
@ 40 min – (noticed some screen flickering)
@ 75 min – zoom function still worked
@ 90 min – zoom function worked but left and right arrows states “battery power to low for this function” comes on
@ 125 min- still able to view and use zoom function (battery indicator blinking away)
@ 185 min – Still running, zoom function still worked, everything still would turn on and function except (WIFI and the left/right arrows) would indicate “battery power to low for this function”
Note: (I apparently did not turn off the “Mic” and “Geo tag” functions. So they have been on entire time) oops…
@ 300 min – Still running, zoom function still worked, everything still would turn on and function except (WIFI and the left/right arrows) would indicate “battery power to low for this function” …. Stopped test… 300 minutes/5hrs
Well looks like you can get some time out of this unit if you dont use some of the goofy or not so goofy functions.
—-now I just need to sight it in and actually use this darn scope it has been sitting on my Bobcat for a month!!—-

What is really nice is though it may not be the best night vision scope, you can also use it for day time and have quite a zoom range for day or night, at a price that most can manage to scrape up.
