I don’t think it’s anything sinister. The guy loves airguns, a airgun company is willing to pay him to use their guns in his videos. What’s wrong with that?, nothing !
People don’t like AOA for price gouging and utter douchebaggery, FX for going along, and Ted catches flak for being the spokesperson.
I really don’t have a problem with Ted doing his thing. I’d probably do the same if in his shoes. I really wish him luck on his new forum 🙂
What are the “obvious financial ties” to AoA. He owns a gun that is only sold by AoA. Guess I’m missing something sinister here.

The holdover forum was announced about a month before I started this thread.
I have enjoyed some of teds videos, when I’ve found time to watch them. I really don’t have anything against Ted, yet it’s really obvious that he’s financially tied to AoA and FX.
When I started this thread we had two feet of snow and -15 temps. After a few days I began to have cabin fever. I knew I had to do something to keep my mind working and sharp, or else I might begin to behave as our dear uncle and post selfies in red speedos.
So I decided to begin a thread that could create controversy in an effort to draw Reeferod ( our arch nemesis ) out of cell in the basement of his moms trailer beside the meth dealers trailer in the trailer park outside of eugene Oregon 🙂
My plan was a success and we did get blessed with refers presence if only for a short while. Please refer to the third post and thank you for the hijack 🙂
Back to the Holdover Forum….. I’m not sure where all the “Ted sold out” stuff has come from, which seems to be solely based on his love for a gun sold by (god forbid) AoA. My view of Ted is that he is just a VERY enthusiastic guy that gets psyched with new toys, whether it is a new Vortex scope, or a new bullpup like the Bobcat. I would be amazed if he has been paid by AoA, other than possibly getting a free gun or two, which would amount to less that minimum wage for the hours his videos take him. The unfortunate part of the anti Ted ranting is that he seems to have lost his enthusiasm for making new videos… and I, for one, miss them. Although, the lack of new videos could just be that he is just too busy working his real job and being a dad to boot. If someone has some concrete proof that Ted is an AoA stooge, lets hear it, otherwise give the guy a break.
And FYI I currently only own a Cricket and plan to buy my next airgun from WWAG if possible. I’ve dealt with AoA in the past but they aren’t high on my list of suppliers.

He said the 15.9’s shot better than the 18’s, but the video showed different.
Seems he was getting a little agro 🙂
His gun was doing 800 something fps with them lighter pellets so maybe it wasn´t able to push the 18´s at proper speed.

Video skills are, but his shooting skills need practice. Or wind flags 🙂

We all would go work for the evil empire, it’s human nature. I met Ted at SHOT this year, the funny thing is Steve (yellow) introduced Ted to AoA. Without Steve Ted would still be showing off his Edgun. Ted is sincerely a nice guy, any company would be very lucky to have him as a spokesman. Ted was at the Daystate booth and he seemed like he was working. At the Daystate booth it was weird, there were so many fans of Ted that it seemed to make him uncomfortable. Imagine an airgun youTube guy signing autographs, crazy. From what I saw he was beyond just getting free guns.
