Firemen looked at my funny when I first met with them THEN I showed them the gun. Nobody there had ever seen an airgun like that. The first time they filled my tanks for me, I let them shoot it on their back lot. Since then, 3 of them had purchased Air Force guns. I got them hooked like some kind of drug dealer. L.O.L.

Great ideas will give her a go thank you

Diplomacy can work if you’re not expecting someone to stop building a nuke
If you meet a volunteer or regular fireman strike up a conversation about airguns, offer to let him shoot it, then if he is interested ask if he knows anywhere you can get refills for a reasonable price. Or if you get a new CF tank you could drop by the fire department with it in hand and ask for any safe handling instructions they would suggest. Any question about safety should be of interest to a fireman.

PS I went in empty handed and they didn’t show any interest in helping before I got my 1st CF tank and the locak fire equipment company charged around $14 for a fill from empty saying it would be less for refills but I went ahead and ordered the Shoebox 4500 PSI pump. The early Shoebox pumps required some maintenance but were lower priced.

thank you gentleman (assumption)lol. made a few calls today no joy, fire dept said are you crazy? (yes) lol. I will find a place. trying to get all ducks in a row before my new girl arrives so I can play with her.

Pumping is good exercise for your heart if you do it right.
Remember to bend at the knees with slow full strokes or you will get a back ache. Take frequent breaks to prevent over heating the pump. Do the pumping the day before you need it so there is no hurry.

Hill pump is great for back up…. you’ll get tired of that pumping quik! i found a air source within weeks. hard to shoot well when your heart is beating out of your chest from pumping 75-100 times to get from 2.2-2.8

I guess a little more leg work is in order to find a place ,and I will lol. feel like a kid at Christmas waiting for the big day. got a co2 adapter on the way also so hope that works out good. I cant believe the accuracy of these guns ( but do).

May sound crazy but don’t rule out the local fire house. Most have provisions to fill their own bottles. When I lived in California, that’s where I got my bottles filled. They loved it when I came by cause I let them “play” with my gun!
It’s worth asking!

Locally, I found the scuba shops (not what you’d think, right?) easier to deal with. I’m only getting 3000 psi fills, 4500 might be more of a challenge, but don’t be afraid to check with the dive shops.

I 2nd wildfire!!

You may want to ask the paint ball guys if they would fill it if you signed some kind of a waiver. If that won’t work, just show them that killer rig when you get it. Then they will know that you mean business!

thanks guys, talked to tony at talontunes this morning what a nice guy. said my condor will ship in 3 to 4 weeks cant wait. still have to find a place to fill to 4500 psi so I can get a carbon fiber tank . Any sugestions? all paint ball shops I talked to were afraid id use it for breathing apparatus lol. Again what a library of info on here ,my brain is numb but I like it. I do have a hill pump ordered so ill get in shape too . Duane
