what do you do with your bad pellets??
So I discard the none circular pellets. But is there any reason to save the old pellets? Maybe at the end of the year find a hobbyist or something of that nature.
Also while target shooting do you guys use a bullet trap and save those also?

I made a pellet trap out of an old wood chipper hopper and some rubber mulch. The used or deformed pellets are saved for future use as slugs or fishing weights. A bunch of guys in this forum cast slugs. No point in wasting the lead.
In that case add two!!!
My only issue is I own a 25 cal :biggrinn:

Bad Pellets, I shoot them, it’s the best way to screw up a promising group. Somewhat of a built in ego boost, Sir Ville on the other hand makes a nice side dish out of them. This dish is utilized as a dip for dehydrated Herring, gets in the blood stream quicker, clears up his thought process!!

I saved some. Used the ones with bent skirts for checking the tune on my mrod. And I would shoot them when I ran out of “good” ones and they still hit what I was aiming at. Not as accurately but still usable.

No not really, I just dump them out back. When they hit the backstop of the pellet trap they pretty much explode and not much left of them.
So do you save the shot pellets for anything? Maybe the casters could use it?
I find very few bad pellets. For me I just pitch them. I also have a bullet/pellet trap at 50 yards. In our breakfast room we have a L shaped counter top that’s just right for a right handed shooter to shoot out of the window. Makes a great shooting bench, heat in the winter, A/C in the summer. And my bird feeder is right next to the trap. :4: :4:

I agree there are so many uses for lead why throw it away?
