OH BOY!!!! .30 goodness!!
Okay, not yet- but I just ordered my 24″ .30 barrel, .590″ O.D.!!! I can’t wait to send this off to Tony!! I want to see how this puppy does!!! I’m only using the standard tank, so no gripes about the velocity!! There’s so many .30’s and .357’s coming out of factories now… I figured, why not? I don’t need another gun, which would turn into a project! Let me finish a project up!! Hell, I bought the .25 SS to convert it to .30 in the first place! I only shot it for a month or two before disassembling it, so she’s been down for a while! I’ll keep y’all posted!!

I’m not expecting one-hole groups, but I agree, 1″ groups at 75-100 might be possible w/the .30 condor.

I can’t wait to get it either!! I’m hoping to get some shooting in this summer before school picks up in the fall again!! How did you manage to get a CZ .25 barrel? A take-off I suppose? I’m having RAW machine a CZ .22 barrel for me for a Rapid Elan clone I’m doing up.

On a serious note, I hope that the .30 Condor will perform well untethered, with a mostly (not sure what Tony will do to my valve, if anything) stock valve… I’m hoping for better performance than the Hatsan BT65 in .30- Out of the box. I’m also hoping to beat the BT65 .30’s accuracy too…

definity like the JSBs, call me anal, but id exspect one hole @ 75 yards w/.30, my .22 does thumb nail groups at 75 yards. But after a few months of shooting the .30 it should be possible. So i take it back those are great groups for doing a review and hardly any time learning the gun. Tony is building me a CZ barrel .25 Condor, im expecting 1” @ 100 yards, with high shot count. Excited for your .30 cant wait for you to have it.

Well, as far as I know, Tony (Talon Tunes) makes a whole new top hat specifically for .30, a new breech, and modifies the bushings (or makes new ones, not sure). Tony also more than likely does his magic on the valve… Of course, there’s machining the barrel to work w/the AF rifle as well.
I like your 30 cal project. I would like to do the same. I’ve also got a 25 cal 24 inch and a 22 cal 24 inch. It would be good to swap the 22 for a 30 cal. What needs doing other than having your barrel bushings resized? Is that all that needs doing?
I’m with you stay pellets. A 30 cal pellet is going to put some serious smack down! Please keep us posted. I think 30 goodness sounds like the future to me. :fishinghole:
No idea- I’m still waiting… I’ll PM you though. I will say that Tony’s rates are real reasonable! I’ll also still have to get an LDC for it… 🙄 😆

WOO HOO!!!! I just got my TJ barrel in the mail today… Man, it is a gorgeous looking barrel!! I can’t wait to send these parts off to Tony! I can almost see the rifle at the end of the build!!!!!
I got it from TJ barrels… They’re made specifically for .30 pellets. It has a 1:26″ twist.

Nice score- a take off barrel is what I suspected… I really wish these CZ barrels weren’t so hard to get a hold of!
