That sucks for sure. Looks like a nice little gun and fun to shoot. I can’t imagine 12 fpe, I can piss harder than that!
Hi Ernest
Having mag index problems also string shot not very consistent , you are probably rifgt that Colibri was designed to run above 23 FT/IB and above. Wish they would state this on their website and inform dealers also, would have saved me a whole lot of grief. Have informed Gun dealer I Czechoslovakia and he is willing to exchange for a new Colibri but have told him they will not index at SUB 12;ft/ib so hopefully he will refund my money or noticed on his website they have the Vulcan.
Hi
Live in South Wales in the UK [ Think Tom Jones one of Wales fav sons } its a stupid law ! it was introduced with consultations with British Gun Makers who couldn’t compete with overseas high powered air rifles approx. 8 years ago. Things have moved on since then but we in this Nanny state of b,, sh,, t laws which are meant to protect us are stuck with this for the foreseeable future!!!. YEH god bless America you lucky shooters so envious of you guys.

I hope you get your HB fixed, But with your below statement, Where do you live in the world,,, I do not mean to sound mean, But when I read your statement,
I said out loud, God Bless the USA..
Good luck with your gun,
Mike.
Cant increase above 12 FT/LB as I haven’t got a license [FAC ] and its a prison sentence if caught above 12 FT/LB it seems to be indexing ok so far should I leave well alone or increase reg as your video instructs and back off HST a little by screwing out.
I’ll make a video in how to remove the return spring.
How to remove;
Remove nut on end of rod, it’s flush on the plastic bushing so you need to push down on the black bushing till you can grab the nut then remove the nut. Pull out the black bushing.
Unscrew the rods CCW, it’s screwed on the cocking block, use a vice grip to get it turning till you can use your fingers.
You have to plug the hole the rods came out at, if you don’t have one for now leave the rods in place, Reinstall shroud. Remember to push the cocking bolt all the way forward if not the HB will not fire or you will it a blow back of small amount of air. When the cocking bolt is all the way back it will stay in that’s position so you can load the mag, if the probe pin is sticking out a little lossen the set screw in the back of the prove–/- from the rear top of the action there is a small hole — all you need is just loosen it. Cock action again and pin should’nt be sticking out now.
I use a set screw or screw just a little bigger so it will Thread in—- it’s plactic and you need 1 to 2 turn just to plug the hole so no air will blast to the rear of action.
Hi Ernest
Thanks for your quick reply , bare with me al this is new to me! How do I remove cocking spring from underneath shroud as it a pain to load mag under spring tension and to reload, is it just remove shroud and undo the 2 end nuts on spring assembly have you any pics so I can see, thanks Neil PS shot out to 25 metre and had some nice cloverleaf groups.

With the return spring in the shroud you have to hold the cocking bolt till it stop then load the mag. you don’t need to do that if you remove the return spring–the probe pin will stay in the breech without holding the cocking bolt open. so you can load the mag with one hand, it will make cocking vary easy with out hurting your finger when shooting a lot.
Don,t lower the reg pressure to low, like max reg pressure to get 12fpe with the hammer spring adjuster flush—-> you will blow out the LP seals of the regulator due to over travel of the rotor—> I know I done it!
to be safe, lower reg pressure till you max in speed with the HSTA bottom out around 775fps with 18.1g then back out the HSTA till you get 11.75fpe. check mag index.

Mag index is designed to work 23fpe and up, lowering the travel of the hammer to much it can’t hit the lever that advance the mag,
Hi Ernest
HST screw [ PLASTIC] was screwed in all the way couldn’t get it out as the head was damaged! Went to see my mate Darren who has a vast collection of air rifles [ including a Kalibr Cricket .25] Had to drill pilot hole [for easy out} in head of HST adjusting screw and out she came with the short spring to follow. Installed new longer spring and cut a screw driver slot in HST adjusting screw [ TEMP JOB] screwed in flush and shooting hot 29 FT/LB . So rather than cut new longer spring removed and put in a delrin spacer and screwed in flush now 14 FT/IB Still to much so backed off a little more on HST screw now 11.2 FT/IB.
Shot string count is varying a bit but will see if it settles down later, also for some reason mag wasn’t turning and not loading pellet to next shot but for some reason all seems to be ok again!! Probably me I should imagine, just a quickie when loading mag do you have to hold cocking bolt back all the way , seems a bit fiddly to load , unload !!!cant find you video on YT. Thanks for your advice as I was nearly going to box up and send back . Fitted a scope on and zero in 30 metres seem very accurate :biggrinn:
Try it flush!
Hi Ernest
Thank you for your reply, yes there is a longer spring which was in packet [2.25″ LONG] with mag. Will remove short spring and fit longer one in. Do I then preload spring by screwing in screw adjuster all the way in or just flush with end of trigger block, Will try this before I return Colibri , thanks once again for your help.
remove hammer spring and check if it’s around 2.25″ long, some time they forget to remove the short spring about 1″ long.
if long spring installed then your regulator isn’t working properly!
you fire 2 shots and 2 pellets stock in the barrel—–>when the hammer strike the valve stem it will also strike a lever to advance the next pellet it doesn’t know the pellet is stuck in the barrel. only double loading safety works when the cocking lever is cock more the twice without being fired.
Return for repair!!!!
