O ring under tophat?
OK, so i have a 24″ .25 cal condor, QCTH, 95 gram anti slap hammer.
with an o ring under top hat, i pick up quite a bit of FPS with 45 grain slugs. I figured i was losing FPS with it, and removed it just to see what my FPE would top out at…. go figure i lost a bunch. why?
suggestions?

Did you get an increase in velocity after putting the O Ring ? That is strange! I Thought it only gives more consistent velocity :smilen:
Damn, just put the o-ring back and don’t tell anyone :rofl:
Or you could try turning the power wheel down and see if the FPE gets better or worse when the valve isn’t bouncing off the brass valve guide causing valve chatter. The hammer slap mod helps but it is one great big multiple balancing act of springs and weights and friction and the lowly o-ring. That is why so many enjoy these rifles. You can make it your personal work of art. 😉

best i can come up with is, TT hammer TT TOP HAT, and 3k fills, the O ring is giving me more Valve “Dwell time” or something to that nature. cushioning the hit, so that it doesn’t bounce back so fast. thus allowing more air.
