Q:

Fill probe foster adapter

I have the Edgun fill probe but it needs the foster adapter. Who sells them?
I have been using my BSA probe which works fine but I should get the right setup for a back up in case I lose the BSA probe.

A friend of mine had one of his stainless fittings with female threads. The threads weren’t deep enough and it galled the brass threads before the Three gaskets crushed. He had me on Three gaskets.

Yep, I got one from Joe, and it had awful threads in it… I emailed him and he told me just to tighten it good and put all three of the gaskets in it and it will be fine!! … I had a BRAND NEW BRASS fill probe for my .22 Cricket, and he wanted me to force the steel adapter onto it… wonder how that would have worked… I gave up after he told me that was normal and that pretty much all of his adapters were that way with the female BSP threads… I had a tap in my shop at work and was able to clean it up enough to make it work OK… I’d forgotten about that! IF if need another one, I’ll go to PA and get a real one…. Joe braggs on his site about “none of the cheap Chinese crap”… ❓ ❓ ❓ :angrymob:

Very interesting, I had the same problem with a fitting I received from Joe. See the picture below. Threading my brass fitting into this obviously would have ruined the threads on the fill probe. He said “please return and I will replace” and I emailed him this picture of the bad fitting and he never replied.

But I have a separate question besides getting ripped off by JoeB. I ordered the the 1/8″ BSPP female fitting from Pyramid Air and the piece I received has threads that are too small. Did they ship me the wrong item? What size threads are the Edgun fill probes?

Had the same problem from Joe, my fitting had no gasket, he is a bit of a used car salesman personality type, not buying from him anymore.

Hmmmm, Imagine that! :suprisedn: :angrymob:

My SCBA fill adapter as it arrived from him.

A few of us had problems with Joe’s a few years back and not just the price. They all leaked until he added the seals and then he charged extra for the seals for a while. 🙄 You have to keep an eye on his prices. The pricing in this industry is pretty much whatever they can get away with.

Dang, didn’t know PA had this stuff… good to know. Easy to add to pellet orders that way. Thx, ❗

Get the phone number off the site and give Joe a call. He will ship same day and it will come with the gaskets you will need to assemble it.
