Flyers in .22 and .25
How many fliers do you get on average in a 10 shot string ? and do the number of flyers reduce as the gun gets older ?

is the barrel chrome lined and do you recommend cleaning the barrel with a solvent i.e. hoppe’s 9
I also had few fliers. ..but i think especially after polishing my Edgun barrel…they are gone
My advise for you. ..just process a good polishing and test your gun again
After reading this I looked at my mags with a pocket magnifying glass I’ve got noticed small burr on all edges where the oring groove is made I’ve used super fine paper to remove, not tested as yet
A friend has a new EDgun in .25 and has noticed that the exit end of the mags is tighter. He has drilled the mags with 6.35mm bit and now there are no flyers in his gun. He has done it to 5 mags and now the gun shoots like a laser.
I believe Ed refers to the situation in which the barrel interior is not silky smooth and some lead deposits appear really fast. In general it can be called a poor quality barrel.
Ed I did not get your 3rd point, does it mean the barrel is faulty ? By the way both guns are pretty new, hardly 200 pellets through them.
Based on my experience there are few reasons:
1. Dirty barrel
2. Bad quality of the pellets
3. Bad barrel with “sand” surface inside, where some part of the lead are stuck and then, with the next pellets are going out with it.

Honestly I don’t notice flyers per se, I know most of the misses are my fault.
but with an EDgun with barrels specifically designed for JSB pellets I think the flyers should be minimal. How is your experience with EDgun as compared to other guns ?
I don’t really have a reason why flyers happen, but I know it’s not often enough for me to worry about it. Most “flyers” are my fault anyway. I love to blame the gun, a bad skirt or wind but in the end I know it was me.
