Q:

What are your likes and dislikes of your TalonP?

I’ve been lusting after the P for some time and just pulled the trigger on a refurb with the spinlock. I like the compactness of it.

Already have a TSS with extra hammerweight and a highflow tank that I could have converted to be like an EscapeSS but I like having the long 24″ .25 on the TSS.

For the cons, I know the P is very loud and really isn’t a pistol. No need to mention that. Also my tophat is now spinning freely. Why can’t air force loctite their darn tophat setscrews? What size is the Allen wrench for the tophat setscrews?

OK, it’s an .05 allen and it’s the same one used for the crosman 22xx 17xx breech screw and I already had it from installing the metal breeches on my crosman pistols. Easy fix. You set the tophat so that there’s no play in the cocking knob after bringing it back after cocking and moving to either side.

The P kicks like a mule on high PW settings. Have to practice with it. Love the size of it.

Sounds good!! Now, about this side cocking action that requires no modifications… PM?

OK, I personally hate teaser post so since Im feeling like a hypocrite right now here is couple more things for you.

First the Hybrid kit includes a side cocking action that doesn’t require any machining or modifications to your gun.
Second here is a video link of a Tss Hybrid Kit converted gun taking out some cans at 100 yards.

Caboose, sorry I know the part about the side cocking action is kind of mean without showing it to you, but you can see a little of it in the video if you look close. 😎

Pictures or it didn’t happen!!

A little info for you; Have made a hybrid kit of sorts that will allow you to have 1 sound loc baffle along with a small inital blast chamber that really quiets down the bark of the talonp. I dare say even makes it back yard friendly if your willing to turn down the power a bit.

It’s based off a Talonp platform, but will also translate to a Tss or Condor frames. In the larger frame you can house a 18″ barrel BC and 2 sound loc baffes.

Should’nt be to much longer,
Dave
